Spring League

Spring 2024 registration for girl’s lacrosse is now open.  We strongly encourage prior season participants to register early to ensure your daughter’s placement on a team.  Based on last season’s numbers, we are anticipating 2 teams at each age level.

SEASON SCHEDULE – Conditioning and evaluations will begin in late February.  Practices (based on US Lacrosse age group guidelines) will begin mid-March and will last thru the end of the season.  Teams typically practice twice per week in the evenings.

  • 3/23/24 - 3/24/24
  • 3/30/24-3/31/24 Easter - NO GAMES
  • 4/2/24-4/3/24
  • 4/6/24 - 4/7/24
  • 4/13/24 - 4/14/24
  • 4/27/24 - 4/28/24
  • 5/4/24 - 5/5/24
  • 5/11/24 - 5/12/24 (Last weekend of regular season games for 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th)
  • 5/18/24 - 5/19/24 (Playoffs/championship games for 3rd-8th grade teams; last weekend of games for K-2nd)

Girls' regular season games are usually played on Sundays.  However, due to scheduling/field availability issues, 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8 teams will have at least ONE double-header weekend (games played on Saturday and Sunday in a given weekend).

***PLEASE NOTE: Playoffs/Championship games will be condensed into the weekend of May 18th and 19th, so that the season is concluded BEFORE Memorial Day weekend for all teams. This will minimize conflicts with summer swim and travel lacrosse.

The NVYLL schedule is designed with the intent of having a mix of home and away games. BAC’s home field is the turf field at Lake Braddock High School. NVYLL serves the entire Northern Virginia region, so some away games may require a modest amount of travel (i.e. Fauquier County). Travel at the K-2 age group is usually no more than 30 mins.

ELIGIBILITY - The Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League operates under a high school pyramid system that determines which recreational league each high school pyramid system belongs to.  At this time, BAC is able to register players from the Robinson and Lake Braddock pyramids. Any player that registers from outside of these 2 zoned pyramids will require a waiver to play with BAC.  Waivers are evaluated on a case by case basis by all affected clubs and team placement is not guaranteed.

EVALUATIONS – Evaluations will be required for girls at the 3rd-8th grade levels. Grades K-2 will not require evaluations, but are encouraged to attend the evaluation days.

UNIFORMS - Uniforms are required for grades 3-8, at the cost of approximately $60. Ordering information will be provided after registration.

REFUNDS - Parents may request a refund of the registration fee minus a $25 processing fee.  Waitlisted players will receive a full refund if a player can not be placed on a team.
