BAC's U13 Boys Win in PWSI Labor Day Tourney

The Blue Thunder went undefeated (5-0-0) in the PWSI Toys for Tots Tournament over the Labor Day weekend. The Thunder outscored their opponents 18-1 on their way to the championship. Well done Thunder!

Thunder Win Another Cup!
Hunt Country Premier U12 Champs for 2009

BAC Blue Thunder added more silverware to the trophy cabinet over the weekend by taking first place in the Hunt Country Classic. That’s three straight tourney wins for the Thunder who finished off the fall season with an impressive 13-1-4 (W/D/L) record in all competitions. The club won the Virginian during the summer, and the Patriot Cup at the beginning of the Fall Season. Nice job team!

Blue Thunder U12 Champs!

 The Blue Thunder (U12B) took the championship at the Patriot Cup.  The championship was determined by the wins in a five team division. 

Thunder, coached by Larry Park, won all four games with 13 goals scored for and only three against. 

 

Virginian Champions
BAC Blue Thunder Take the '09 Virginian Tournament U11 Cup!

Thunder scored 19 goals and conceded just 4 in the five matches leading to the U-11 Virginian title over Memorial Day weekend. In the championship match, Thunder came from a goal down to win a thrilling contest, 2-1 over Alexandria Arsenal White. Gianfranco Rodriguez and Andres Villarreal netted for Thunder, with Villarreal’s goal coming on a looping header with 14 minutes to play. Thunder played solid defense throughout the tournament, and didn’t allow more than a single goal to any opponent.

"Thunder Night" at DC United!
Thunder celebrates 7-1-2 Campaign, Automatic NCSL Promotion

Blue Thunder served as player escorts at RFK Stadium Saturday evening, walking onto the pitch with the visiting Chicago Fire before the match, won by United 2-1. The boys each received a DC United uniform, and had the opportunity visit briefly with the pros. Asked for a reaction after the game, the boys collectively shouted "It was awesome!"
