BAC’s House (Recreational) program consists of co-ed, boys and girls youth leagues which are organized by age group (U04, U05, etc.). Players who will turn four years old by the end of the current soccer year are eligible. The soccer year runs from August 1 of one year to July 31 of the following year. The House Program has two seasons per year, Fall and Spring. Players register by submitting an on-line completed registration form with proper fees.

BAC's U13 and U14 players participate in a Middle School League with BRYC and SYC.  Games are played locally and BAC handles all roster/player issues, coaches, etc.

BAC’s U15 through U19 play in the Suburban Friendship League (SFL) which is part of the House program. By competing against other local clubs in the older age groups, the increased pool of teams allows for a more competitive schedule. SFL handles the scheduling. BAC handles roster/player issues, coaches, and fees.

All-star teams are also formed from the players in the House Program and compete in local tournaments. For information about the BAC House Program, please email the House Commissioner.

Lightning Safety
BAC Policy: Lightning/Thunder Closes field

Each year in the United States, more than four hundred people are struck by lightning. On average, about 70 people are killed and many others suffer permanent neurological disabilities. Most of these tragedies can be avoided if proper precautions are taken. When thunderstorms threaten, coaches and sports officials must not let the desire to start or complete an athletic activity hinder their judgment when the safety of participants and spectators is in jeopardy.

Burke AC is committed to the safety of all of our players, coaches, and spectators.

Therefore, if a coach or referee hears thunder or sees lightning, fields are immediately closed and all play should be immediately suspended and everyone should get to a safe place. Fields shall remain closed for 30 minutes from the last thunder you hear or lightning you see.

For more information on lightning, please see this document from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration: Lightning Doc
