Burke Athletic Club’s travel program provides a more competitive and advanced playing opportunity for its participants. It is BAC’s mission to create a meaningful, positive experience for the travel players; to develop soccer skills; and to teach the lessons associated with team play (i.e., sportsmanship, building self-esteem).

FRIDAY, MAY 8, FOOTSKILLS IS CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

Burke Athletic Club and Golden Boot Soccer are now offering a Footskills Training Program for Travel players on Mondays and Fridays. The program is for age groups U9-U11 and it focuses on technical training through games, creative scrimmages and Free Play. The program, which is run by Golden Boot’s professional trainers, is FREE for BAC players. Here are the details: 

                                           Mondays 

                                           * Every Monday up until June 2 (no session on May 26) 
                                           * 5:30-6:30 pm or 6:30-7:30 pm 
                                           * Location: Terra Centre 

                                            Fridays 

                                            * Every Friday up until June 6 (no session on May 30) 
                                            * 5:30-6:30 pm or 6:30-7:30 pm 
                                            * Location: Terra Centre

Dave Kerr will be offering footskills training for the U12-U15 travel teams at Rolling Valley on Tuesdays starting April 8 and ending May 20.  The boys will train from 4:30-5:30 and the girls will train from 5:30-6:30.

Goalkeeper training will be conducted by Golden Boots Soccer.  Training will be held at Rolling Valley every Saturday for 7 weeks beginning April 12 .   Sessions will be held from 10 am-11am.  Team managers can email Carol Coulter with the names of the teams #1 and #2 goalies that will be attending.

 

Some parents believe that their child must play on a winning team in division 1, all the time, to guarantee automatic success in later years. It does not.
