Rising U9’s (Players born 8/1/01 and younger)
Rising U9 girls - We are creating a new U9 girls travel team in the fall of 2010, for players who were born on or after 8/01/01. We will play in either WAGS or ODSL, a determination that will be made later by the team. The team will be coached by Michael Craven who has coached with BAC for the past seven years. He has coached a girls’ house team from U12-U15, two All-Star teams and a girls’ travel team from U16-U19 who competed in both WAGS and ODSL. He has also coached a boys’ team in the Middle School league as well as many indoor seasons for both boys and girls. The team philosophy will be to help the players learn more about the game and themselves. This will be done by working to improve the player’s soccer skills while also reinforcing the ideas of sportsmanship and the value of having fun.
Rising U10’s (Players born 8/1/00 and younger)
Burke Athletic Club (BAC) Blast, a rising U10 NCSL Boys soccer team is looking for motivated players (born between August 1, 2000 and July 31, 2001) to try out for the upcoming 2010 fall season. The BAC Blast develops individual and team skills in a fun and competitive environment. Players are encouraged to work hard but love the game. Practices are in the Burke VA area. Rising U12’s (Players born 8/1/98 and younger)
Burke AC Invasion will be holding tryouts for the Fall 2010 season. Boys born on or after 8/1/98 are eligible. We are looking for talented, committed, motivated players who are devoted to train and compete to the best of their ability. Training emphasizes teamwork, footskills, individual and team development. We practice twice a week at Patriot Park and conduct a year round program including an indoor soccer season. Tryouts will be held during regular practice sessions at Patriot Park (located on Braddock Rd):

Burke AC Mustangs Blue will be holding tryouts for the Fall 2010 season. Boys born on or after 8/1/98 are eligible. The team is professionally coached by Dave Kerr who holds UEFA and USSF coaching licences.
The Burke AC Mustangs White will be holding tryouts for the Fall ’10/Spring ’11 season. We are a rising U12B team, currently competing in NCSL - Division 3. Players born on or after 8/1/98 are eligible.
We are looking for talented, committed, motivated players who share the vision to train and compete to the best of their ability. We offer a year-round training program that focuses on individual and team development while emphasizing teamwork, foot skills, character and love for the game. Rising U13’s (Players born 8/1/97 and younger)
BurkeAC Fire&Ice, a rising U13 Girls Travel team welcomes players to tryout to fill available spots on our roster for the Fall 2010 season. We have two available spots on our roster that we may or may not fill depending on the type of player interested in trying out. We are looking for one player to share Goalkeeper responsibilities in addition to playing in the field as well as a field player that has the confidence and quality to make an immediate impact on our team.
Our coaching staff understands that individual technique and confidence with a soccer ball are paramount to long-term success in soccer and all of our players receive individual attention from the coaches and have the freedom to hold the ball and experiment on the soccer field.
•We train twice a week and offer our players the opportunity to add an additional training day and a "freeplay" day through the club. Along with regular targeted training from Coach Fuller and Coach Melone, our players currently receive training from Jamie Holmes, a former MLS player who is working with the girls on their individual technique and tactical awareness.

BAC Blue Thunder, is looking to add several strong, committed and positive minded players for the fall 2010 season. Thunder is a rising U13 boys team coached by Larry Park, a professional coach with a National C license. As we grow from 8 v 8 to 11 v 11, Thunder values commitment to developing advanced soccer skills through foot skills, teamwork, sportsmanship and a love of the game. Blue Thunder focuses on teaching technical soccer skills to improve individual players. Blue Thunder believes that better soccer players make a better soccer team.
Blue Thunder currently competes in NCSL D6 and participates in several tournaments per year. Blue Thunder has won four out of the last five tournaments. Training is year around with summer league and indoor competition during the winter. Try outs will be on June 2, 7 and 9 at Patriot Park from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Patriot Park is located at Braddock Road and Fairfax County Parkway. Thunder will be on the southwest corner of the field.
Rising U15’s (Players born 8/1/95 and younger)
The Burke Athletic Club Real Blue Boys rising U-15 travel team (Players born 8/1/95 and younger) is currently looking to add 2 to 3 athletic, dedicated and skilled players to their roster for the Fall/Spring 20010/11 season. Players involved in all positions, especially strikers, are encouraged to tryout. Real Blue is a competitive program that competes in the National Capital Soccer League (Division 2) and participates in a variety of tournaments throughout the year.
Real Blue is professionally coached by Dave Kerr who holds UEFA and USSF coaching licenses. Interested players are invited to join us for try outs to be held at Patriot Park, Fairfax June 8, 10, 15 at 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Additional tryouts will be added if necessary.
APEX, a rising U15 girls travel soccer team with Burke AC, is looking for an additional striker or defender born on or after 8/1/1995 for Fall 2010. Professionally and positively coached by Larry Rice (14 yrs experience coaching girls), we practice/play year round in the Burke/Fairfax area. Apex is a 5 year team with remarkable chemistry, a great goalie and rock-solid defense. Consider joining a team with committed players that is family-friendly and fun. Our focus over the next year will be getting our players ready to tryout for their high school teams.

Rising U16’s (Players born 8/1/94 and younger)
The BAC Storm (U16 Girls) coaching staff is looking for two or three dedicated players to join the team for the Fall 2010 Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL) season. We are committed to sportsmanship, player development, and winning within a fun learning environment. Our coaches are Ed Apgar and Lis Beyer. Ed was a varsity player for the United States Military Academy. He holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National C License and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Diploma. Ed has coached youth soccer for eight years. Lis holds a USSF E License, has played soccer in various women’s leagues, and has coached youth soccer for four years. Storm players do not pay a training fee. Storm players pay for club registration, tournaments, uniforms, and a small administrative fee to support Storm social events. Storm trains Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Patriot Park, the artificial turf field located next to the Mott Community Center at the intersection of Braddock Road and the Fairfax County Parkway. The BAC Arsenal (U16 boys) will be conducting tryouts on Thursday, June 3’rd and Monday, June 7’th from 6:30-8:00PM at Patriots Park. The BAC Arsenal will be U16 next fall and Spring seasons in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL). The Arsenal are coached by Dan Wonderly (D license) and trained by Todd Hamlin (B license, OPD, VYSA Coaching Staff) and offer a full year program including summer and winter training. The Arsenal currently have players on Woodson, TJ, Lake Braddock, Annandale and Falls Church High School teams.
