Fencing Master Tom Jobson

Fencing Master Tom Jobson has over 45 years of fencing experience. He trained under a French Fencing Master Stanley St. Pellicer for over ten years of private lessons. He gave private lessons at the Circle D’Escrime Fencing Club, and taught accredited Fencing Classes for the Junior College District of St. Louis during this time. He has also taught Fencing in Oklahoma (OU), New Jersey (Trenton State), and Pennsylvania. Tom is the owner of Fairfax Fencers.

“Fencing is a fun and very safe sport. In my forty years of fencing I have seen more injuries in one game of softball. I sometimes refer to fencing as the European form of karate. The blade is an extension of your forearm and the point your new fist. But only requires 500 to 750 grams of pressure to score a touché (point).”

“An old saying that fencing is a mobile game of chess is very true. But you don’t run the risk of your opponent hitting you in the head with a rook if he loses the bout.”
